Sunflower Web Series Cast

Sunil Grover as Sonu Singh

Sunil Grover plays Sonu Singh, the quirky resident who becomes the face of the series. Sonu is polite, socially awkward and often far too eager to help people. His unusual behaviour makes him look suspicious even when he believes he is doing the right thing. The murder investigation repeatedly circles back to him, while his personal life provides much of the show’s dark humour.

Ranvir Shorey as Inspector S. Digendra

Ranvir Shorey plays Inspector Digendra, the senior police officer investigating the deaths connected with Sunflower Society. Digendra is methodical and sceptical, and he spends much of the series trying to separate genuine evidence from the strange behaviour of the residents.

Girish Kulkarni as Sub-Inspector Chetan Tambe

Girish Kulkarni appears as Sub-Inspector Chetan Tambe, Digendra’s colleague. Tambe brings a more impulsive and comic energy to the investigation. His interrogation scenes with Sonu and the society residents help the series move between police procedural and comedy.

Mukul Chadda as Abhishek Ahuja

Mukul Chadda plays Abhishek Ahuja, one of the key residents of Sunflower Society. Ahuja becomes important to the first murder investigation after the police begin examining what happened around Mr. Kapoor’s death. His attempts to protect himself and his family create some of the first season’s most tense and comic situations.

Radha Bhatt as Radha Ahuja

Radha Bhatt plays Radha Ahuja, Abhishek’s wife. She is closely involved in the family secrets that draw police attention towards the Ahujas and remains an important part of the society’s continuing drama in Season 2.

Ashish Vidyarthi as Dilip Iyer

Ashish Vidyarthi plays Dilip Iyer, an influential resident who is deeply invested in the rules, image and hierarchy of the housing society. Iyer often behaves like the moral guardian of Sunflower, but later developments reveal a darker and more complicated side to him.

Adah Sharma as Rosie Mehta

Adah Sharma joins Season 2 as Rosie Mehta, the new tenant in flat 1001. Rosie is lively, confident and mysterious, and Sonu quickly becomes fascinated by her. Her arrival changes the direction of the story because she is connected to secrets that become central to the new murder investigation.

Ashwin Kaushal as Raj Kapoor

Ashwin Kaushal plays Raj Kapoor, whose death becomes the starting point of the entire series. Although Kapoor is killed early, the investigation into his murder continues to shape both seasons and exposes the hidden tensions inside Sunflower Society.

Shonali Nagrani as Naina Kapoor

Shonali Nagrani appears as Naina Kapoor. Her relationship with the Kapoor family becomes relevant as Digendra and Tambe investigate the victim’s personal history and search for motives beyond the obvious suspects.

Sunflower Web Series Story

The story begins when Raj Kapoor, a resident of Sunflower Society, is found dead. What initially looks like a murder with a limited number of suspects quickly becomes complicated because almost everyone in the building has secrets, grudges or unusual behaviour that attracts police attention.

Inspector Digendra and Sub-Inspector Tambe begin questioning the residents. Abhishek Ahuja becomes a major person of interest, but Sonu Singh’s strange habits repeatedly make him look guilty as well. Sonu does not behave like a conventional suspect; he is talkative, helpful and frequently lands himself in new trouble without understanding how suspicious he appears.

Season 1 uses the murder investigation to explore the residents of the society, including the Ahujas, the Iyers and other neighbours. The police collect evidence while Sonu becomes increasingly entangled in the case. The season ends without closing every thread, leaving Sonu in a dangerous situation and the original murder mystery still driving the story.

Season 2 brings Sonu back to Sunflower Society and introduces Rosie Mehta, a new tenant who immediately attracts attention. Her arrival coincides with fresh complications and another death, forcing Digendra and Tambe to reopen old questions while following a new set of clues.

Sonu’s growing attachment to Rosie makes him even more vulnerable to suspicion. Meanwhile, the investigation turns towards residents whose private lives are not what they seem. The second season gradually connects the new mystery with the unfinished questions from the first season and finally reveals the person behind Mr. Kapoor’s murder.

Although murder is at the centre of the plot, Sunflower is not presented like a grim police thriller. Much of its identity comes from the contrast between serious crimes and the petty arguments, romantic problems, social pretensions and eccentric behaviour of the people living in the society.

What Kind of Series Is Sunflower?

Sunflower is best described as a crime comedy with mystery and dark-humour elements. The murders provide the central suspense, but the personality of the show comes from the residents and their everyday conflicts.

Sunil Grover’s Sonu Singh remains the connecting character across both seasons, while Ranvir Shorey and Girish Kulkarni provide the investigative thread. The addition of Adah Sharma in Season 2 gives the continuing murder mystery a new direction without changing the series’ mix of eccentric comedy and crime.
