Yes Mam Web Series Cast
Kamalika Chanda as Miss Leela
Kamalika Chanda plays Miss Leela, the teacher at the centre of the series. Her arrival and interactions with students quickly become one of the main sources of tension in the story. The character is presented as confident and unconventional, and much of the drama develops from the way students respond to her personality and the personal relationships that begin forming around her. Because Miss Leela appears in all five episodes, she remains the most consistent figure across the season.
Bharti Jha as Payal
Bharti Jha appears as Payal, one of the principal young characters in the college-based storyline. Payal is involved in the changing relationship dynamics among the students and becomes important as the series moves beyond a simple teacher-student setup into a broader story about attraction, jealousy and personal choices. Her character appears in four of the five episodes.
Alendra Bill as Nishi
Alendra Bill plays Nishi, another major student character. Nishi is closely connected with the interpersonal side of the story and helps develop the relationship between the female characters. Her presence also gives the series a second point of view beyond Miss Leela, allowing the plot to focus on how the younger characters react to changing friendships and romantic interest inside the college environment.
Farhaan Ansari as Nikhil
Farhaan Ansari plays Nikhil and appears across all five episodes. Nikhil is part of the student group around which the campus drama develops. His interactions with the other characters add another layer to the relationship story and keep the narrative from being limited to one central pairing. The role connects the teacher-focused plot with the social and romantic complications among the students.
Vinney Singh as Tarun
Vinney Singh appears as Tarun, who is part of the college circle and features in four episodes. Tarun becomes involved in the personal tensions surrounding the main characters and contributes to the shifting alliances and attractions within the group. His role is mainly tied to the student side of the narrative rather than the authority figures around them.
Dev Dehman as Principal
Dev Dehman plays the college principal and appears in two episodes. The character represents the formal side of the institution and provides a contrast to the private behaviour and complicated relationships developing among teachers and students. Although the role is smaller than the main cast, it helps establish the college setting in which the story unfolds.
Other notable cast member:
- Afaq Usmani – appears in four episodes; the available series credits do not specify a character name

Yes Mam Web Series Story
Yes Mam is set in and around a college, using the familiar teacher-student environment as the starting point for a relationship-driven drama. Miss Leela becomes the central figure after entering the lives of the students. Her confident personality immediately attracts attention, and the usual distance between a teacher and the younger people around her begins to weaken.
Rather than building the season around a large mystery or action plot, the series concentrates on personal behaviour. The students form their own friendships and attractions, while their interest in Miss Leela adds another source of conflict. Payal, Nishi, Nikhil and Tarun are all part of this changing social circle, so the story keeps moving between what happens in the classroom and what develops privately among the characters.
One of the more distinctive parts of the series is its same-sex romantic angle. The relationship between the female characters is not treated simply as a passing side plot; it becomes part of the larger theme of people crossing expected social and emotional boundaries. This gives the series a different focus from a conventional campus romance built around only one male-female pairing.
As the episodes progress, attraction begins creating misunderstandings, jealousy and uncomfortable choices. Characters who initially appear connected through ordinary college life start affecting one another personally. The story therefore depends more on reactions and changing loyalties than on a single external conflict. Each episode continues the same relationship thread rather than functioning as a separate standalone story.
The principal and other authority figures occasionally bring the institutional setting back into view, but the season remains primarily interested in the characters themselves. The result is a compact adult romantic drama in which the college acts as the background for a series of increasingly complicated personal relationships.

- Episode 2 – released January 7, 2023
- Episode 3 – released January 14, 2023
- Episode 4 – released January 14, 2023

What Kind of Series Is Yes Mam?
Yes Mam is primarily an adult romantic drama with a college setting. It is driven by attraction, relationship conflicts and changing personal boundaries rather than by crime, suspense or a large external storyline. The series also includes mature situations, so it is intended for adult viewers rather than a general family audience.
Kamalika Chanda’s Miss Leela gives the season its central teacher figure, while Bharti Jha, Alendra Bill, Farhaan Ansari and Vinney Singh provide the student-side relationships that keep the story moving. With only five episodes, the series stays focused on a small group of characters and follows their interconnected relationships from the opening setup through the final episode.
